Like barbican, lofi garden grew out of lofi music, and it favors aesthetics that are not perfectly polished. Visitors and community members form a new relationship as they explore an exhibition that is both unique and ongoing. It could be a free performance in the central garden in the spring or an afternoon tea in the sunken garden in the fall. It enables people to experience the comfort of a private backyard in a public garden.
